Our ministries to kids are designed to instill in children through age 12 a biblical understanding of God’s attributes, love, and ways and to saturate their minds with the Gospel of Christ so that they may come to faith and begin following Christ.

AWANA

The First week of June
stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is an international program whose vision is that "every child will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ." There are young people meeting in AWANA clubs all over the world.
AWANA is interdemonational so membership in a particular church in not an attendance requirement. While First Baptist Church sponsors AWANA, you are welcome regardless of your church affiliation. Our volunteers come from many churches and parents often help in AWANA after meeting child protection screening requirements.
Club meeting nights are divided into three main parts: Handbook Time, Council Time, and Game Time. All three parts work together. We are a team with parents in the lead!
Every night we have a different theme that the clubbers are encouraged to participate in.
(ex: Story Night, Jammies Night, Silly Hat Night, Hero Night, etc.)
We also have special occasions through out the year such as the
Grand Prix, Thermopolis trip, and Operation Christmas Child.
The Grand Prix is filled with lots of car racing. The clubbers each get a chance to purchase, construct, create their own race car and then on the night of the big Grand Prix, they can race each other and win awards.
The children will also get a chance to package a box for a child that will be donated to Operation Christmas Child. The week before we send them to Billings,all the clubbers are given the opportunity to pray over the boxes. They pray that God will put each box into the right child's arms that year for Christmas and for their heart to be opened up to accepting Christ into his/her life!
